Egg-citing Easter!

Do you see what I did with the heading? I know, I know it’s not the most original of puns but I hope it at least brought a smile to your face! So, Easter is almost upon us and the children’s heads will be filled with thoughts of chocolate eggs I’m sure. Easter also offers little hands the chance to create lots of different projects, some of my favourites are given below.

Easter Bonnets

You will require some old hats for this project, but they can be any kind of hat. In fact, it makes it all the more interesting if the hats are not the usual bonnet shape. There are lots of ideas you can use, see the picture of my lovely niece Katie and her fabulous creation – made with help from me. If you wanted to recreate this you’d need:

Seasonal Spring card, tissue paper, sticky fixers and mini chicks.

I used scrumpled up green tissue paper for the grass and blue tissue paper for the sky. I cut a sun from yellow card, clouds from white card and made hills from green card. I then arranged it all into a pretty scene, attaching it along the way with brass paper fasteners, however, I would advise the use of sticky fixers for your projects.

Nest Boxes

Our craft boxes are the perfect base for nest boxes. Decorate them with yellow paint and adorn them with fancy bits such as feathers, Spring Foam Shapes, jewels and ribbons. Once the outside decoration is complete, fill with craft fluffs or scrumpled tissue paper and fill with chocolate eggs.

Chicks and Bunnies

Why not do some art on the children and paint their faces with our Snazaroo Wild Faces Face-Painting Kit to look like rabbits or chicks. Take photo’s for their scrapbooks or make them into Easter cards using our Spring Seasonal Card and Paper pack.
